Rabbiteyes are the most productive blueberries for our southern climate! Two varieties are needed to produce fruit. Soil should be pH of 5.5 - 4, can use organic material and/or sulfur to lower the pH Early Season: Climax: s-m berries, concentrated fruit set - all ripen during the climax! Premier: m-l berries, keep well after picked Vernon: large firm berries, flower late (after late frosts) and ripen early Titan: biggest berries - size of a quarter! Midseason: Tifblue: s-m berries, more cold hardy than most Powderblue: med, light blue berries, hang in clusters Brightwell: m-l berries, firm, good quality Late Season: Ochlockonee: large dark berries, high yield though our only late-season, its recommended by Clemson to plant with Powderblue
